The public areas of Davos Youth Hostel were redesigned. The aim was to largely retain and supplement the interior design concept of the room shell from 2002 - floor, wall and ceiling.

Bold colours and colourful figurative patterns by artist Sonnhild Kestler now extend the existing colour scheme of terracotta tones and create new exciting contrasts. 

The shell and furnishings merge to create a holistic spatial experience. The installation of a new self-kiosk with bar table was the largest structural intervention and invites people to linger and socialise.
